The PVC systems we install come from five profile manufacturers: Rehau, Salamander, Aluplast, EkoSun and Gealan. They differ mainly in the number of chambers (5 to 7), the number of seals (2 or 3), and the profile installation depth - from 70 mm in basic systems to over 120 mm in higher-insulation solutions. More chambers and a greater installation depth generally mean better thermal performance, but usually also a higher price. For a typical single-family home, a 5-6 chamber system with 2-3 seals works well; for energy-efficient construction, it's worth considering systems with an installation depth of 85 mm or more.
